Woooohoo! If you're a regular reader of my blog, I'm pretty sure you're looking forward to this kind of post. It's been ages since I last posted some photography stuff. Well to be honest, I already accomplished that "cemetery" thingy I'm talking about last time. Unfortunately, I'm still lazy to do some blog about that and I just have few pictures to show. I guess I'll be back there for the 2nd time and capture some candid snaps.

Back to the topic, my theme for this post is obviously ANIMAL. You know that kind of moment when you witness a wild cat devours a poor mouse was just amazing. I just happened to be there and when I saw what was happening, I immediately told my bro to grab my cam and I took some shots. I'm surprised that my stomach's not upset that moment haha.

Corregidor Island

Corregidor Island is one of the famous historical place in the Philippines. Many foreign and local tourists visit the island every year. It is also known as Fort Mills and Isla ng Corregidor.
We went there last September for our Photography Tour.

The MOON, not the BLOODY one

Recently, all astronomers, moon enthusiasts and also ordinary people were all excited to see the appearance of the so-called "Blood Moon". It is actually a four total lunar eclipses in a row. When Earth's shadow falls across the moon, it's color can shift from bright orange to brown and to blood red. The color still depends on weather conditions.

I didn't have a chance to see this celestial view yesterday's early afternoon (according to NASA it can be seen here in the Philippines during 1:58 pm - 5:33 pm PH time) because we were at the PICC for my brother's graduation.

So instead of regretting the chance, I'll share to you some Moon photos I captured around 2 months ago. It looks like a "Blood Moon" but brownish hehehehe. I find this image amazing, because the Lunar craters are visibly seen. Before mesmerizing, capturing photos like this are hard though HAHA.

I really like capturing this kind of images even though it's not as easy as you think it is. But then, I'm still enjoying what I'm doing because of passion and love for photography. I'm not yet on the pro level and I still need to learn more stuff and gain experience.

Morning View, Port of Manila

 

Nice view during morning at Port Of Manila. This image is taken at Sun Cruises Philippines Terminal while we were waiting for our departure to Corregidor Island.

 

I love this photo because I'm with one of my closest friend when taking this snap, she's Rio and we're quite bored that time so we decided to capture some good scenery.

Ruins of Mile-Long Barracks (Front-View)

 

Popularly known as the World's LONGEST military barracks,  the entire length of the structure measures about 1,520 ft. It is a three-story building mainly made of concrete. The building is constructed to outlast hurricane, that's why it is still standing strong as of now in the topside part of Corregidor Island.

If you're into World War II history, this building was used by both American and Filipino soldiers. It was also the lodging facility of American officers and troops. Other than that, the headquarters of Gen. Douglas Mac Arthur who was then a field marshal of Philippine Army and United States Army's Chief of Staff during 1930's, was also located at this very historical structure.

We're not in history class ok? hahaha. I just want to explain the story of this building because it's not an ordinary edifice anyway.  Still now, the structure itself is haunted by World War II's bloody sight. That's why when I was there last year, I did feel the eerie feeling of the place. Well, our very own tour guide told us that the patrols there experienced some uncanny ghostly stuff and it's very frightening hahaha. I really do want to explore the building myself, but tourists are not allowed inside. We're just beneath the designated vicinity.

So after that creepy part, the Mile-Long Barracks is truly an architectural masterpiece and when visiting the site during a sunny weather, tourists can experience a truly bizarre scene with a thematic look.

That's why It's a challenged for me to take good snaps of this building because I really want to give the audience the story behind the photo and to feel it just by looking at the image. The image in this post is about mystery. I want the people to do the thinking, and if the curiosity lingers probably you're still reading this.

Horse Carriage at Fort Santiago (Kalesa)

 

 

Kalesa or Horse Carriage is very popular among the tourist who visited the famous Walled City in Manila, Philippines "INTRAMUROS". You can have a tour around the city and see many historical places.  Kalesa's are also available in most part of Manila and other parts of the country.

Spontaneous shot taken during my interview about "Deviants" hahaha. Well, thanks to EJ and CARL for making my project in Sociology possible. Actually, there were more interviewees but due to bad weather only two of them made it. The interview was taken place at EJ's place so I went there even it was f*cking raining hehehe. But anyway, it was still a mini reunion for us because we haven't seen each other for months (We were HS classmates).

Manila Cathedral

 

The Manila Metropolitan Cathedral-Bassilica a.k.a Manila Cathedral is located at Intramuros,Manila. It is a Neo-Romanesque style Cathedral Bassilica. It is a historical building that hosted many funerals of prominent Bishops, Archbishops, Cardinals and the two Filipino presidents namely Carlos Garcia and Corazon Aquino.

Ship Bow Waves (A Fresh Start)

This is my first photo that I would like to share. It was taken during our cruise to Corregidor Island and capturing this is not an easy task haha. It's quite hard to move that time because it was so windy. Well anyway, I'm still able to capture this. Gonna share more photos later on during our tour. Stay tuned!
